Meet The Team
Jason S. Pfeifer, O.D.
Dr. Pfeifer grew up in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He attended Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota and received a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2000. Before joining Looking Glass Optical in 2004, Dr. Pfeifer practiced in Rockford, Illinois and Charlottesville, Virginia. Dr. Pfeifer has been involved in the Iowa and American Optometric Associations. He enjoys running, playing guitar, many kinds of sports and family activities with his wife Patricia and children, Raina, Amara and Nikolaus.
Mitch Thompson
Manager
Mitch attended the University of Iowa where he majored in astronomy. He has years of experience in the eye care field, with 35 years both as an optician and finishing lab manager. His hobbies include being an amateur astronomer, repairing and playing old ukuleles, and is a builder of vintage models.
James Thompson
Optician
James is currently a student at the University of Iowa finishing a degree in Physics.
