 01  Do I need my insurance card if I want to buy glasses or have an eye exam?

Yes, please bring your insurance card if you want your insurance to pay for the glasses or exam.

 02  How many frames do you carry?

Over 2000​.

 03   Is there a special selection for Medicaid frames?

​​

Yes, but we have a large selection of over 250 frames.

 04  Which Iowa Medicaid plans do you accept?

​​

We accept traditional Medicaid, as well as the MCOs AmeriGroup and Iowa Total Care. Some offices only accept these plans for the eye exam only; Looking Glass Optical accepts them for BOTH the eye exam and the eyeglasses.

 05  Will my Medicaid insurance pay for contact lenses?

No. It will cover for the base eye exam, but the fitting for contacts and the contacts themselves would be out of pocket.

 06  Do you accept health savings or flex spending accounts?

​

You bet. Make sure you use it by the end of the year.

 

 

 07  Do I need to make an appointment to come in for an eye exam?

​Though walk-ins are welcome if we have openings, we prefer if you schedule your exam by giving us a call at 319-338-9381.
